Stewardship First
We believe that animal ownership is a profound responsibility. At Black Frog Farm, we dedicate ourselves to exceptional animal stewardship through compassionate care, ethical breeding, and active rescue work. Every creature on our farm receives top-tier nutrition and specialized attention because their well-being is our absolute priority.
Rescue & Sanctuary Work
We partner with local rescues to provide foster care and independently take in multiple animal species. We ensure they either find the perfect forever home, or gain a permanent sanctuary with us. While we are not a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we fund this vital work using our own resources and the kindness of generous supporters.
Humane, Free-Range Farming
We are passionate advocates for humane egg production. Our diverse flocks enjoy daily free-ranging opportunities. This freedom results in happy, healthy birds and noticeably tastier, high-quality eggs.
Championing Llamas
We love introducing llamas to our neighbors. We mentor new owners, educate the public on proper care, and run a strictly ethical breeding program focused on optimal conformation, gentle dispositions, and premium fiber. Our farm also serves as a safe haven for llamas entering rescue or rehoming programs.
Sustaining Our Mission
To keep our farm thriving, we selectively sell high-quality, farm-fresh products. 100% of all proceeds go directly back into the feeding, housing, and medical care of our animals. When you buy from us, you directly support a rescue animal in need.
Black Frog Farm is a proud member of The Livestock Conservancy. The Livestock Conservancy is a nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to protect endangered livestock and poultry breeds from extinction. Many of the poultry breeds on our farm are listed as in danger of extinction. By adding these breeds to our farm, we are helping to expand the genetics and numbers of endangered birds in the United States. (livestockconservancy.org)
